“The Sunline” is a gripping two-person conversation about the nature of true intimacy. Clever, ironic, and fast-moving, it exposes the dynamics that have always prevented men and women from truly hearing and understanding one another. The husband and wife are portrayed by celebrated actors and entertainers Natalya Eprikyan and Alexander Gudkov, stars of the acclaimed comedy show COMEDY WOMAN.
A husband and wife find themselves stuck in their own home until morning, desperately trying to find a way out of a marital crisis. Having long since lost their emotional connection, they discover that only an honest, open conversation — one that shifts familiar roles and long-held ideas about marriage — can give their relationship new momentum and help them cross the “solar line,” a symbolic boundary separating the space between them. What begins as a seemingly simple family story gradually transforms into a broader reflection on one of the most urgent issues of our time: the problem of communication between living beings on this planet. Vyrypaev’s writing is known for the rhythmic flow of its monologues and dialogues, its sharp self-irony, and its sudden, uncompromising dramatic turns — much like real life, where fear, bitterness, joy, and laughter are deeply intertwined.
