“Diary of Madmen” – A New Theatrical Production by Dmitry Krymov Featuring Chulpan Khamatova and Maksim Sukhanov
Acclaimed director and stage designer Dmitry Krymov presents his new production, Diary of Madmen, starring renowned Chulpan Khamatova and Maksim Sukhanov. This marks Krymov’s first Russian-language performance created in exile—and his first collaboration with both Khamatova and Sukhanov since they appeared together nearly 30 years ago in Valery Todorovsky’s film The Country of the Deaf. For the first time, the two actors now share the stage in this powerful new production.
Diary of Madmen is a phantasmagorical tale about people adrift in time and space. Caught in unfamiliar circumstances beyond their control, the characters weave together personal experiences with scenes drawn from literature, blurring the line between reality and imagination.
Chulpan Khamatova describes the production as “a story about mad love, about loneliness and loss, about duty and dignity, and about a world that has long since lost its sanity—and seems in no hurry to get it back.”
Krymov’s distinctive artistic style infuses Notes of the Madmen with a unique creative energy that captivates audiences from beginning to end.
The production has already been met with sold-out performances and enthusiastic praise from audiences in Cyprus, Israel, and across Europe.
Don’t miss this extraordinary theatrical experience.
